Heather B. Dillion
Heather B. Dillion is a principal in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Heather’s path veered toward workplace law early in her career. She found what she enjoys most about her practice is the satisfaction of providing preventative guidance about day-to-day employment issues and helping businesses resolve employee disputes.
Heather helps her clients comply with laws and regulations, as well as build tailored handbooks and policies for their individual business needs. In addition, she advises clients on pre-litigation claims and, when necessary and unavoidable, defends them in litigation.
Whether defending claims involving employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation, or wage and hour violations and compliance, Heather works to understand her clients’ goals to minimize risk, limit financial impact and achieve the most advantageous outcome possible. Heather considers a job well done when a case is resolved, and the client’s legal and business goals are met simultaneously.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Heather’s business law practice afforded her the opportunity to represent clients in many industries, including restaurant and hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. This experience includes bankruptcy litigation matters, unfair competition, fraudulent and preferential transfers, breach of contract and business torts, which Heather now leverages in a variety of workplace law issues.
During law school, Heather was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board where she competed as a finalist in the Scott Moot Court Competition and earned an award for Top Advocate in the National Moot Court Competition. She was also involved with the Youth Justice & Education Clinic where she represented juveniles, protecting their right to a meaningful, safe and successful education.
In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her favorite Los Angeles sports teams, including USC Trojans, Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, and Kings.
