Michael J. Stief, III is a principal in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Since 1990, he has represented management in labor and employment law matters.

Michael’s practice is primarily focused on representing employers faced with all types of third-party interference. This representation consists of management education, conducting extensive vulnerability audits and assisting clients in the development and implementation of preventive workplace practices, procedures and programs.

In advising clients, Michael strives to help them meet their goal of avoiding the filing of representation petitions by labor organizations and, should a petition be filed, assists clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board through the time of a Labor Board election, and any post-election proceedings, if necessary. Michael also represents employers in arbitration proceedings and in the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.

While attending Ohio Northern University, he was an editor of the Law Review.
