Brian P. Lundgren
Brian P. Lundgren is a principal in the Seattle, Washington, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice is focused on traditional labor matters, employment litigation, and counseling.
Brian represents clients in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies. His traditional labor law practice includes significant National Labor Relations Board experience, labor arbitration, union elections, collective bargaining, strikes, and advising employers on an array of complex labor issues. Brian defends unionized and non-unionized employers against state and federal agency charges, investigations, and complaints in government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, State Human Rights Department, United States Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, and Washington Department of Labor and Industries. In addition to his broad traditional labor practice, Brian acts as lead trial attorney, defending employers against state and federal lawsuits, including whistleblower and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, discrimination and harassment allegations, and charges of wrongful discharge. He regularly provides advice, conducts management training, and assists employers in labor and employment law topics.
Brian spent his childhood in Minnesota. He attended elementary school in small towns on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, and high school in the farming areas of Southern Minnesota. In 1992, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Prior to attending law school, Brian served as an infantry squad leader in the United States Army stationed in Friedberg, Germany. After his military service, Brian attended law school at Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In law school, Brian participated in Law Review and was the recipient of the CALI Excellence Award on four separate occasions. Brian graduated law school second in his class, summa cum laude, in 2000.
Brian resides with his wife, daughter and two dogs in the Snoqualmie Valley outside Seattle, where they enjoy hiking Little Si and the many beautiful nature trails.
