Gabriel N. Rubin

Gabriel Rubin is a principal in the San Francisco, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has more than a decade of experience litigating matters in state and federal courts.

Gabriel advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. He also advises and trains managers and supervisors on preventive litigation practices, focusing on how to comply with applicable laws and regulations, avoid workplace disputes, resolve employee relations problems, and satisfy legitimate employee expectations.

Gabriel has handled all phases of litigation including jury trials and summary judgment motions that have resulted in favorable outcomes for his clients. Gabriel recently advised a prominent financial services firm in its successful appeal of a motion for summary judgment that completely disposed of the case, and in which the California Supreme Court denied the appellants’ petition for review.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Gabriel worked for several national law firms and was a legislative clerk for the United States House of Representatives.

Pro Bono and Community Involvement

• Gabriel obtained the immediate release of an abused woman serving a life sentence in prison on habeas petition through pro bono work.
