Elizabeth A. Erickson
Elizabeth A. Erickson is a principal in the Madison, Wisconsin, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. She partners with clients to develop creative and practical solutions to the complex array of workplace disability and health management issues faced by employers today. Elizabeth counsels clients with the goal of helping businesses run smoothly and understand their compliance obligations under overlapping laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, act Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, while avoiding litigation entirely or improving outcomes.
Her experience includes guiding employers through the delicate issues raised by sexual harassment and other harassment allegations; investigating internal reports of harassment, discrimination and other employee complaints; counseling and advising employers on performance management, disciplinary and discharge decisions; advising on the enforceability of post-employment restrictive covenants; training supervisors and managers to implement and administer proper harassment and fair employment policies and practices; and guiding employers through layoffs and reductions in force, including WARN Act compliance, disparate impact analysis, severance agreements and voluntary retirement programs.
Additionally, Elizabeth has more than 20 years of litigation experience defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation before state and local agencies, the EEOC, and state and federal courts.
