Kevin M. Sibbernsen is a principal in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has over 15 years of experience practicing employment and traditional labor law.

Understanding while the law may be printed in black and white, employment issues operate in the vast grayness of human interactions and business objectives, Kevin applies a blend of legal acumen and common sense, guiding employers through the complexities of the employment relationship.  Whether the objective is forging a legally compliant path for a strategic acquisition or the optimal resolution for a disability leave request, Kevin provides practical advice to clients. Leveraging his experience in litigation, strategic labor relations, collective bargaining, and workplace training, Kevin takes a collaborative, all-in approach with clients, ensuring they are supported with timely advice and counsel.

Kevin’s labor practice takes into account the culture and goals of each client’s workplace.  He represents employers in collective bargaining, arbitrations, corporate transactions, diligence, and the negotiation of definitive agreements. Kevin routinely serves clients in a broad range of industries, including the construction and health care industries, and recognizes the need to ensure that relevant regulatory issues specific to each sector are considered. To that end, Kevin prioritizes a keen attention to detail and strives to be an extension of his team and works to incorporate these attributes into his client service.

Kevin is a contributing editor of The Developing Labor Law treatise (8th Edition and 2023 update). While attending law school, Kevin was the executive notes editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
