Donald E. English Jr. Named Lexology North America 2024 Award Winner for Labor, Employment and Benefits

NEW YORK, NY (May 20, 2024) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Donald “Donny” E. English Jr. has been named a recipient of the Lexology North America Awards 2024 in the “Labour Employment & Benefits” category. Award recipients will be honored on June 20, 2024, at 48 Wall Street in New York City.

Donny serves on the firm’s Board of Directors, is office managing principal of the Baltimore office and co-leads the Trials and Appeals group. He is an experienced trial attorney, having tried numerous jury and bench trials in federal and state court, and is a member of the Jackson Lewis National Trial Team. Donny has more than 20 years of experience litigating employment matters and assisting major corporations with internal investigations and in the development and establishment of employment policies, procedures and training programs. He also advises and represents employers in a variety of industries in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants and retaliation claims.

 

Some of Donny’s recent experience as lead counsel includes a race discrimination, harassment and retaliation trial in the Circuit Court for the State of Oregon for the County of Multnomah. He successfully obtained judgment for the defendant after a two-week trial. Additionally, Donny recently served as lead counsel in a False Claims Act jury trial in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He successfully obtained a defense verdict after a three-week trial.

Donny earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and his B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy.
