NEW YORK, NY (December 4, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce that Donald “Donny” E. English Jr. and Amy L. Peck have been named recipients of the 2024 Lexology Client Choice Award. The Client Choice Award recognizes those law firms and partners that distinguish themselves through the excellent client care they provide and the quality of client service.
"Donny and Amy's impressive legal careers, along with their unwavering commitment to their clients, have firmly established them as leaders in their practice areas," commented Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. "Professional excellence and providing the highest quality client service have always been core values at Jackson Lewis, and we extend our congratulations to Donny and Amy for their well-deserved recognition in upholding these standards."
Donny is the firm’s Baltimore office managing principal. He also serves as co-leader of the firm’s Trials and Appeals group and on the firm’s Board of Directors. He is an experienced trial attorney and has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict in federal and state courts. Donny has more than 20 years of experience litigating employment matters and assisting major corporations with internal investigations and in the development and establishment of employment policies, procedures, and training programs. Donny was awarded for his work in the Labor, Employment and Benefits category.
Amy is a principal in the firm’s Omaha office and serves as co-leader of the firm’s Immigration group. Amy focuses her practice on complex immigration and workplace compliance issues, especially those that intersect employment and immigration law. She approaches client service with the understanding that businesses need practical advice that looks at issues from multiple perspectives. Amy was awarded for her work in the Immigration category.
“The award is particularly meaningful because it is based on client feedback,” said Donny. “I am greatly appreciative of the trust that our clients put into the firm, and we look forward to building upon these relationships as we continue to partner with and support their future endeavors.”
"Immigration law is a complex area that should be approached from multiple angles in order to derive the best strategic solution,” said Amy. “It is an honor to be recognized for ensuring that our clients receive the necessary support and counsel to navigate today’s evolving legal landscape environment.”
Lexology’s methodology is based on feedback from corporate counsel. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, appropriate staffing, project management, use of technology, loyalty and ethics.
Donny earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and his B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy.
Amy earned her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
