HARTFORD, CT (March 25, 2021) Nationwide workplace law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Principal David R. Golder has been elected to the Connecticut Bar Foundation’s James W. Cooper Fellows Program. The Program was established to honor the leading members of the legal profession and the Judiciary in Connecticut, to promote a better understanding of the legal profession and the judicial system and to explore ways to improve the profession and the administration of justice in Connecticut. The James W. Cooper Fellows nominate outstanding Connecticut lawyers, judges and teachers of law to become a Fellow. Membership in the Fellows is by invitation only.

David is co-leader of Jackson Lewis’ Class Actions and Complex Litigation group. He handles class and complex litigation, including nationwide, high-stakes wage and hour disputes. David defends employers in class-based, multi-plaintiff, and multi-district wage and hour class and collective actions involving claims for employee misclassification, improper payment of wages, off-the-clock work, and meal and rest break violations. David also provides preventive advice and counsel to employers wishing to limit their exposure to investigation and litigation under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and the state laws that require employers to pay overtime and minimum wages to their employees.
David also defends employers in employment disputes, such as claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He advises management on personnel matters such as hiring, firing and performance management.
David earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and his B.A. from Emory University.
