Fast and Furious: 12 Months of ADA and FMLA in 60 Minutes… More or Less
The laws are changing at a fast and furious rate. This past year, we have seen new opinion letters, the possibility of revised FMLA forms, and more laws dealing with paid sick leave, predictive scheduling, pregnancy accommodation and medical marijuana. The EEOC and OFCCP are focusing on disability discrimination, with the OFCCP beginning its Focused 503 Reviews in October. The courts have continued to see a barrage of lawsuits in this space. Title III claims continue to be on the rise with law firms hiring testers to challenge the accessibility of your websites and physical spaces. Employers also faced legal battles over inflexible leave policies, intermittent absences, parental leave challenges, and FMLA reporting issues. The clock is ticking as we catch you up on the latest disability and leave management news and trends from the last 12 months.

Flyball: Beating the Obstacles in the Accommodation Process
In theory the accommodation process sounds easy, but in real life the process quickly becomes bogged down by obstacles and roadblocks. Join us for this practical discussion of how to engage in the accommodation process to meet both the practical and legal challenges that you face. We will provide step by step guidance and tips to help you navigate the obstacles and successfully cross the finish line.

Unleashing the Possibilities
You have heard it before or even said it yourself: “That’s not the way we do things.” “We have never done that before.”  “If we do it for one, we will have to do it for everyone.” No one likes change. Sometimes our biggest roadblock to accommodation is  being tied to preconceived notions of managers about what won’t work. In this session we will challenge this thinking and help you unleash the possibilities to think out of the box and provide more effective accommodations, costing you less than the alternatives.
