Timothy R. Ertz
Timothy R. Ertz is an associate in the Kansas City, Missouri, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling. Tim leverages his litigation experience to defend employers in a wide variety of employment law matters. He strives to achieve the best results for his clients as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Tim served as an assistant city attorney for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and an assistant attorney general for the State of Nebraska. He has defended clients at all stages of legal disputes extending across a wide variety of matters, including employment discrimination and retaliation, whistleblower claims, civil rights, personal injury and wrongful death, and contract actions. Tim also has significant appellate experience, having briefed and argued cases before the state appellate courts in Nebraska and Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Following graduation from law school, Tim served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Frankie Moore of the Nebraska Court of Appeals and worked as a claims attorney for a title insurance company.
