Sarah Raoof is an associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

While in law school, Sarah completed over 200 hours of pro bono work at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, where her passion for litigation was ignited. This experience also provided her the opportunity to grow her network within the Orange County legal community through regular attendance at hearings and jury trials, where she played an active role in trial preparation. She also served as a staff editor for the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transnational and Comparative Law.

After law school, Sarah practiced dependency law for two years, representing parents in the Los Angeles dependency system. She first-chaired several hundred bench trials and gained invaluable courtroom experience. She successfully negotiated several pre-trial settlements by adopting a collaborative approach with opposing attorneys, securing favorable outcomes for her clients in complex and sensitive situations.

Since joining Jackson Lewis, Sarah’s advanced oral advocacy skills have lent themselves to aggressive defense of several employers at trial, depositions, and motion hearings. Sarah is part of the firm’s Trials and Appeals Practice Group, giving her the opportunity to sharpen her jury trial skills, where she has effectively argued for the exclusion of evidence and examined critical witnesses. Sarah has also secured highly impactful deposition testimony that has been instrumental in supporting various motions and prompting settlement, while also skillfully defending the depositions of senior executives and Human Resources managers with determination and expertise.

While Sarah is highly skilled at vigorously litigating cases against challenging opposing attorneys, she also excels at building respectful and collaborative relationships when needed, enabling her to secure favorable settlements and stipulations when a more cooperative approach is warranted. Regardless of the approach a case requires, Sarah consistently strives to balance litigation objectives with her clients' broader priorities, including cost management and the preservation of key business relationships.
