Rachel A. Jacob
Rachel Jacob is an associate in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in all aspects employment law, including litigation and preventive counseling.
Rachel’s employment litigation practice includes defending employers against single- and multi-plaintiff claims of discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract and wrongful termination actions. Her practice also includes preventative counseling on a broad range of employment issues, as well as internal investigations.
While attending law school, Rachel immersed herself in the labor and employment field, taking courses that focused on the novel issues arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. During law school, she also externed for the Honorable Lois H. Goodman, U.S.M.J., and worked as a research assistant for three professors. Rachel honed her litigation skills as a member of the Mock Trial Board and became the co-chair of the Board in her 3L year.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Rachel gained invaluable experience as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Kevin M. Shanahan, A.J.S.C. in Somerset County, New Jersey. This background provides her with a holistic perspective of legal issues, enabling her to anticipate opposing arguments and develop successful defense strategies.
