Michele D. Dougherty is of counsel in the Chicago office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice includes representing employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including class actions and individual claims before state and federal courts and in administrative agencies. She understands the importance of partnering with clients to understand their business, goals, and values in order to obtain a successful outcome.  Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Michele was a partner in a well-respected Chicago firm. There, her practice was devoted to representing and counseling employers in a variety of complex litigation matters, giving her a deep understanding of the importance of developing business and goal-oriented strategies to resolve employment conflicts and litigation.

Michele strongly believes in partnering with her clients to understand their business and work together to create and implement employment practices and policies that are workable in the real world for their industry and unique business needs. To that end, she regularly advises on workplace practices and policies to foster employee engagement, ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations, and avoid litigation.
