Kathryn J. Cheatle
Kathryn J. Cheatle is of counsel in the Omaha, Nebraska office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.
Katy concentrates her practice on employment-related litigation, including trial advocacy before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She is an experienced trial attorney and has served as lead counsel for trials and hearings involving claims arising under the Equal Protection Clause, the Due Process Clause, and 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Katy maximizes this trial experience to inform her litigation practices to best advise clients on minimizing the risk of litigation, strengthening client positions when faced with litigation, and evaluating potential liability.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Katy was a partner at a law firm in Omaha, Nebraska. Her practice was devoted to civil litigation with an emphasis in health care law. She has served as lead trial counsel in several matters brought under federal, state and local laws.
