Katherine S. Lam
Katherine (Kasey) Lam is an associate in the Boston, Massachusetts, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law, with a particular emphasis on labor relations, and employment law counseling and litigation.
Kasey regularly advises a variety of businesses with a concentration in the higher education and healthcare industries regarding traditional labor law issues, employer rights and obligations in the unionized workplace and other applicable labor and employment laws. Kasey has advised clients on union organizing campaigns, including decertification petitions and responses to labor law developments.
She also advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including litigation under state and federal anti-discrimination statutes. Kasey has defended employers in private arbitrations, attorney general investigations, litigation in state and federal courts and has represented employers in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Kasey has also represented employers in arbitration and in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
While attending law school, Kasey interned for the City of Boston’s Office of Labor Relations and for an administrative judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She was also a senior editor for the Northeastern University Law Review Journal, a lawyering fellow for Northeastern Law’s Legal Skills in Social Context Program and a teaching assistant for evidence.
