Joseph A. Lara
Joseph Lara is of counsel in the Riverside, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He represents employers in employment and trade secrets litigation, and he advises clients on various facets of the employer-employee relationship, with a focus on trade secret misappropriation claims.
Joseph’s interest in employment and trade secrets litigation began during his time in the Navy, where he worked in the intelligence arena. During this time, obtained and maintained a high security clearance, and he first learned the value of maintaining confidentiality in the employment setting. Joseph leverages the discipline, as well as the teamwork and leadership skills, that he learned while serving for the full benefit of his clients as both a litigator and an advisor.
Joseph has prosecuted and defended trade secrets misappropriation cases, and he has handled PAGA/class claims and claims for wage and hour violations, discrimination, wrongful termination, and breach of employment contracts.
While attending Trinity Law School, Joseph was a research editor for the Trinity Law Review.
