Jeremy K. Fisher is of counsel in the Atlanta, Georgia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Jeremy spent more than 13 years with the Solicitor’s Office of the United States Department of Labor (DOL), rising from a trial attorney to the counsel for the Wage and Hour Division in the Southeast Region. In the latter role, he was responsible for supervising and coordinating all governmental litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Service Contract Act, Migrant and Seasonal Workers Protection Act, and Immigration and Nationality Act H-visa programs in six states and multiple district courts and national administrative forums.

During his time at DOL as a trial attorney and later senior trial attorney, Jeremy was first chair in over 30 trials in various district courts and before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, Office of Administrative Law Judges, Mine Safety and Health Commission, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has extensive counseling and trial experience in cases ranging from Employee Retirement and Income Security Act matters, to cases involving minimum wage and overtime violations involving international contractors, and to safety and health matters involving fatalities and grievous injuries at worksites across the Southeast. Jeremy also routinely advised various DOL agencies during their investigations of worksites, and is deeply familiar with the Department’s tendencies and procedures during inspections into wage and hour, H-visa compliance, and workplace safety allegations.

Prior to working at DOL, Jeremy was a newspaper reporter in Western North Carolina. During law school, he served as the editor-in-chief of the North Carolina Journal for International Law and Commercial Regulation, served as a research assistant to Professor Marion Crain, and worked as a judicial extern for Judge Stanford L. Steelman, Jr., of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He also attended Lancaster University, in the United Kingdom, as an exchange student.
