Jeanette M. Piaget Figueroa
Jeanette M. Piaget Figueroa is an associate in the Boston, Massachusetts office of Jackson Lewis, P.C. Jeanette is a zealous litigator who regularly represents clients in court, arbitration, and administrative agencies. She is a member of the firm’s Healthcare industry group and Class Actions and Complex Litigation practice group.
Jeanette works closely with clients on strategic decision-making in personnel matters, as well as litigation. She has defended clients from all types of workplace claims, including class and collective actions. Jeanette partners with clients to achieve results favorable to the client’s business objectives, whether this be through early resolution or trial. Recently, Jeanette has successfully defended clients in the healthcare industry on claims of religious discrimination related to the clients’ workplace vaccination requirements.
As a Cuban-Puerto Rican, Jeanette weaves her native Spanish skills into many parts of her practice. She deposes Spanish-speaking witnesses and drafts legal documents in Spanish. She also has experience conducting internal investigations on behalf of clients with Spanish-speaking employees and can provide workplace trainings on a variety of employment topics in Spanish. Jeanette is an active member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and, as a law student, was Co-Chair of the Latin American Law Student Association. She leverages her skills and experience to provide counseling on diversity and inclusion programs and assisting with managing communications related to diversity and inclusion matters.
After graduating from law school, Jeanette clerked for the Massachusetts Appeals Court. While attending law school, Jeanette participated in the HNBA’s Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition. She was also a lawyering fellow for Northeastern Law’s Legal Skills in Social Context Program and a research assistant for Northeastern’s Global Resilience Institute.
