Gaurav B. Kalra

Gaurav Bobby Kalra (Bobby) is of counsel in the Sacramento, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Bobby represents clients in labor and employment litigation matters. 
Bobby has represented clients in cases involving claims for wage and hour violations, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, fraud, business interference, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition and business practices, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Bobby has extensive experience, including trials, involving the intersection of employee mobility and the protection of intangible assets.

Bobby is a trial attorney and has litigated cases on behalf of management before state and federal courts and various administrative agencies. Bobby has tried cases, including bench and jury trials.

• Lead trial counsel in a wrongful termination lawsuit (Sonoma County, California). Successfully obtained judgment for defendant after a full bench trial.
• Lead trial counsel in a two-week multi-plaintiff wage and hour lawsuit (Santa Clara County, California). Successfully obtained defense verdict on all claims after a two-week bench trial.
• Lead trial counsel on two companion trials related to employer claims of trade secret misappropriation (Placer County, California). Received favorable verdicts after two bench trials.
• Lead trial counsel obtaining complete defense for defendants related to breach of contract claims (Solano County, California). 
• Lead trial counsel obtaining judgment in favor of client related to breach of contract claims (Yolo County, California). Entire trial was conducted remotely due to pandemic-related restrictions. 
• Lead trial counsel, a jury trial, defending employer as to wrongful termination claim (Yolo County, California). 
• Lead trial counsel obtaining complete defense verdict for employer in two-day bench trial (Sonoma County, California).
• Lead trial counsel for joint employer, obtaining favorable judgment after two phases of a bifurcated bench trial (El Dorado County, California). 
• Lead trial counsel on dozens of fully-litigated arbitrations. As an example, Bobby obtained a complete defense decision for an employer (Orange County, California). Bobby handled post-trial attempts to set aside the judgement in the Superior Court and eventually affirmed the arbitration award in the Fourth Appellate District, Division Three.
