Eric Moody is principal in the Tampa office of Jackson Lewis, P.C. Eric represents employers in workplace law matters, including litigation and preventive advice and counseling to help clients navigate today’s legal and business workplace challenges. Prior to becoming an attorney, Eric managed a multi-million-dollar online retail business and brings direct experience managing small business to his legal practice. Through the lens of his real-world business experience and legal training, Eric offers clients practical advice and solutions grounded in the realities of business.
Eric helps employers navigate today’s legal and business workplace challenges. His employment litigation experience includes defense of employers in lawsuits, arbitrations, agency proceedings, and appeals in a broad range of claims including discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, FMLA, whistleblower, wage and hour, breach of contract, and non-compete agreements.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, in addition to employment litigation, Eric represented clients in defense of action claims brought under federal and state consumer protection statutes, tort claims, and professional negligence and malpractice claims. This wide-ranging experience helps Eric assess risk throughout his clients’ businesses.
Beyond his practice, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, reading, cooking, and working on projects around his home. Eric also enjoys rooting for all of the local Tampa Bay sports teams and the Orlando Magic.
