Buck N. Haddix
Buck Haddix is an associate in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in all facets of employment litigation. He also provides preventative advice and counsel on a variety of workplace issues.
Buck defends employers in statewide and nationwide employment class actions with an emphasis on wage and hour litigation and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative matters. He also represents employers in unfair competition and trade secret disputes, including claims of trade secret misappropriation, and in the defense of single-plaintiff employment disputes, such as claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations.
In addition to his litigation practice, Buck advises employers on developing and enforcing personnel policies, conducting internal workplace investigations, medical leave and disability accommodation, implementing reductions in force, drafting employment arbitration agreements and collective bargaining agreements, and compliance with California and federal wage and hour laws.
Buck works with employers in a variety of industries to develop effective strategies with respect to approaching litigation in federal and state court, and arbitrating employment disputes. He also practices before such administrative tribunals as the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Civil Rights Department, and the California Department of Industrial Relations – Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Buck handles judicial and private employment dispute mediations on behalf of employers.
