Anthony T. Blake Jr

Anthony Blake is an associate in the Portland, Oregon office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His law practice includes representing employers in employment litigation before administrative agencies, state courts, and federal courts. Anthony litigates all types of employment law claims, including claims alleging sexual harassment, sex discrimination, disability discrimination, age discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and state tort issues.

A deep thinker and natural advocate, Anthony is committed to helping his clients achieve their business objectives while mitigating legal risks. He has experience guiding employers on a range of issues, including the preparation of personnel policies and employee handbooks, and the drafting of employment offer letters and agreements.

As a former collegiate athlete with legal experience in the sports marketing arena, Anthony understands the ever-evolving needs of collegiate and professional sports entities in today’s world.  Anthony’s unique perspective enables him to quickly spot and resolve key issues for his sports clients, helping them mitigate risk and avoid reputational damage. His specialty includes advising clients on issues related to student athlete name, image, and likeness.

Before Jackson Lewis, Anthony practiced commercial litigation and employment law at several firms in the Portland area. During law school, Anthony served as a legal extern for the Honorable Ann Aiken, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court of Oregon. He graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School as a member of the Cornelius Honor Society and a recipient of the Roosevelt Robinson Scholarship. Anthony received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, where he was a member of two PAC-12 championship football teams. Outside of solving problems for his clients, Anthony enjoys reading and spending time with his children, two daughters and a son. Anthony is also a trained executive coach.
