Andrew J. Schuyler
Andrew (AJ) Schuyler is an associate in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C., representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling. AJ recognizes that each client is unique and seeks prompt, pragmatic solutions tailored to their specific needs. His client-focused, people-first approach ensures meaningful and personalized representation.
AJ defends employers at every stage of litigation in both federal and state courts, handling single-plaintiff cases and class/collective actions involving claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful termination, medical leave violations, and wage and hour disputes. He also represents clients in administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies nationwide.
Believing that many workplace disputes and litigation can be avoided, AJ is dedicated to helping employers create conflict-free, productive workplaces. He provides proactive counsel on a wide range of workplace laws, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, NLRA, and other federal, state, and local laws.
In addition to his legal practice, AJ is a lifelong tennis player and is actively involved in the Esports industry. He competed as the #2 ranked North American player in the 2024 Wimbledon eChamps tournament and is passionate about using his legal skills to help shape the future of the Esports industry and advocate for the role of tennis within it.
During law school, AJ interned for the Honorable Bernice B. Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He served as president of OUTLaw: Sexual Orientation and Legal Issues Society and vice president of Phi Alpha Delta. AJ was also a production editor of the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy. His accolades include the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Employment Discrimination, the Jerold S. Solovy Diversity Scholarship, the Lewicki Scholarship, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
