Amanda Patanaphan
Amanda Patanaphan is an associate in the Las Vegas, Nevada, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling, as well as advice on litigation matters.
Amanda finds that her prior education and experiences make her an ideal advocate at Jackson Lewis P.C. In addition to extensive experience navigating trial and appellate courts in state and federal court in Nevada and handling various employment matters as a lawyer before both courts and administrative agencies, she has also had extensive experience working in and studying management and operations in various businesses. She was in-house counsel for a nationwide real estate development and management company for several years. Amanda also spent a few years in management roles in various hotels, both on and off of the Las Vegas strip, in addition to employee roles held in retail, sales, and restaurants during school. Amanda’s interest in the intricacies of employer-employee relationships was evident even before she entered law school, as her focus was on managerial studies both as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University, and during her studies at the Rosen School of University of Central Florida, where she earned her Master of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Even during her final year of law school, Amanda worked full time as a resident services coordinator in her apartment building, where she learned more about management of high-rise apartment buildings and the personnel required (on top of troubleshooting the pesky coffee machine so she could enjoy coffee during school breaks).
Amanda has found that her training has shaped her as a zealous but professional advocate for her clients. She prides herself on remaining organized and handling various fires while remaining level-headed. She enjoys working with clients and helping them understand the various stages of responding to charges or navigating the intricacies of state or federal court. Amanda finds it rewarding not only to obtain the results desired by clients, but also to navigate them through the complexities of their case, whether they are seasoned in-house counsel or first-time business owners and managers.
