Sarah J. Gasperini
Sarah J. Gasperini is a principal in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents management exclusively in a variety of employment and labor law matters before state and federal courts and agencies.
On the labor side, Sarah advises employers in defending union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practices, and representation cases. She also assists employers in maintaining union-free workplaces, and counsels them in successfully preserving union-free status. In addition, Sarah advises employers on matters involving labor contract administration issues and collective bargaining. She has briefed petitions for review of National Labor Relations Board decisions before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and defended 10(j) injunction proceedings in district court.
Sarah also counsels clients on several areas of employment law, including employee handbooks, discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin and disability, disability accommodation, and retaliation, including retaliatory discharge.
While attending law school, Sarah worked as a law clerk with the Chicago office of Jackson Lewis, where she assisted in a variety of matters, including preparing cases for arbitration, researching issues of law, and defending administrative charges. She was also a student editor of the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal.
