NEW YORK CITY, NY (January 7, 2025) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce that it has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2024-2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The CEI is a national benchmarking tool designed to help employers assess and advance LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion by providing a clear, transparent and actionable framework for leading policies and practices. This marks the third consecutive year that the firm has met all CEI criteria, earning the designation of an "Equality 100" workplace—the highest honor for an inclusive company.
“We are honored to once again receive a perfect score on the HRC Foundation’s CEI and to be recognized as part of the ‘Equality 100’ list,” said Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. “This achievement reflects Jackson Lewis’ deep commitment to fostering a workplace where diversity, inclusion and respect are fundamental to our success. We remain dedicated to creating a culture where every employee—including those of varied sexual orientation or gender identity—can thrive and contribute fully. As we look to the future, we are proud to continue our efforts to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion, both within our firm and in the broader legal community.”
Jackson Lewis continues to build an inclusive culture for LGBTQ+ employees through responsive workplace initiatives, including the firm’s attorney resource group, Out Professionals and Allies in Law, robust awareness and training opportunities, ongoing collaboration with the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and campaigns such as the “Triple P” program. This program encourages employees to add parenthetical and phonetic name spellings and identifying pronouns in their email signatures, further fostering inclusion, respect and openness among colleagues and clients.
“We are incredibly proud to receive a perfect score on the CEI for the third consecutive year and to be recognized as an ‘Equality 100’ workplace,” said Kimya S.P. Johnson. “This recognition reflects the meaningful progress we’ve made in fostering an inclusive culture where LGBTQ+ employees also feel supported and valued. At Jackson Lewis, diversity, equity and inclusion are not just strategic priorities—they are core to who we are as a firm. We remain committed to building an environment where everyone, regardless of their identity, feels that they are welcome and can belong. This achievement is a testament to the ongoing work of our talented team, and we will continue to push forward to ensure inclusion is fully felt across the firm.”
Launched in 2002, the HRC Foundation’s CEI tool has become a roadmap for U.S. businesses in the evolving field of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality in the workplace. Now in its 22nd year, the 2025 CEI features its largest participation yet, with 1,449 participants. Additionally, a record 98 percent of CEI-rated businesses now offer non-discrimination protections specific to gender identity.
This year’s results highlight how U.S.-based companies are advancing LGBTQ+-friendly workplace policies both domestically and internationally. Businesses and leading law firms are evaluated based on their effectiveness in offering essential protections to more than 22 million U.S. workers across four key pillars: workforce protections, inclusive benefits, fostering an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility, including responsible citizenship.
