Maria P. Vitullo
Maria P. Vitullo is Of Counsel in the Cincinnati, Ohio office of Jackson Lewis. Maria provides legal counsel and advice to assist clients in navigating their complex workplace challenges. She focuses her employment litigation practice on representing employers facing Title VII and state law discrimination claims, including age, sex, race, and disability, harassment, retaliation, defamation, contract claims, as well as non-compete actions.
Maria also devotes a substantial part of her practice to higher education law and Title IX matters—and leverages her first-hand experience in this field to support college and university clients. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Maria served as Director of the Office of Community Standards at Miami University (OH) where she was responsible for developing and implementing training for Title IX and Community Standards boards, and administrative hearing and appellate officers. She was also responsible for the adjudication of all student discipline matters through the appeals process, including suspension and dismissal cases and Title IX sexual misconduct matters.
Prior to her tenure in higher education, Maria’s experience includes over a decade of legal practice at large, full-service law firms in Chicago, New York, and Cincinnati. In law school, she served as Managing Editor of The Wisconsin Law Review and a member of the ABA National Moot Court Team.
