James E. Pilley is an associate in the San Diego, California office of Jackson Lewis P.C. James’ practice focuses on employment litigation and preventative advice and counseling.  

James prides himself on being a problem solver who listens to client’s needs and finds creative solutions to obtain the client’s goals.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, James represented small and medium sized business owners on a wide array of issues, including employment, contract formation, and disputes. James also represented and counseled a community college union of classified employees regarding collective contract bargaining, interpretation, and enforcement.  

James is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation, including trials and appeals, having represented clients in disputes concerning employment, unfair business practices, disability rights, wrongful death, consumer lending, financial fraud, landlord-tenant, medical malpractice, personal injury, bankruptcy, and products liability in state and federal courts across California.
