Elena B. Roper is an associate in the Chicago, Illinois office of Jackson Lewis P.C. where she is a member of the firm’s employment litigation practice group. She regularly defends clients in employment litigation disputes before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She also advises clients on multiple aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including workplace investigations, legal compliance, personnel policies, and employee discipline.
Elena has been passionate about labor and employment law since law school when she completed an externship with the Department of Labor’s Chicago office. That passion has grown after law school as Elena has assisted businesses, healthcare organizations, universities, and local governments with all aspects of their labor and employments needs. Elena enjoys working closely with clients to secure the best outcomes for whatever employment situations arise.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Elena represented and counseled clients at a boutique law firm specializing in local government and school law. While attending law school, Elena was appointed third-year representative to the Student Bar Association and served as a Managing Editor for the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality.
