Tanya A. Bovée Receives Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity Edwin Archer Randolph Award

HARTFORD, CT (May 30, 2024) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Tanya A. Bovée has been named a 2024 recipient of the Edwin Archer Randolph Award by the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (LCD). The award recognizes individuals who promote the inclusion and advancement of lawyers of color and other professionals. Tanya was honored at the LCD Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Awards Celebration on May 29, 2024, at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, CT.

She is incredibly committed to engaging in maintaining long-term mentor relationships with our attorneys and those within her network,” said Hartford Office Managing Principal James F. Tanya is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors with a strategic focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and a principal in the Hartford office. She has more than 20 years of employment law experience, representing employers in a wide range of issues. Much of Tanya’s practice includes working with employers from industries such as life sciences, retail, automotive, manufacturing and hospitality. She ensures compliance with affirmative action obligations, oversees the preparation of affirmative action plans, and defends compliance reviews. Tanya also partners with companies around the country to develop and implement DEI strategies in their workplace. She holds a diversity and inclusion certificate from Cornell University and conducts customized workplace education sessions on diversity, inclusion and bias. Additionally, she has presented hundreds of in-house training sessions for executives, management, and employees covering equal employment opportunity, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

 

In addition to her employment law practice, Tanya serves as co-president of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She is also the inaugural recipient of the Quinnipiac University School of Law Alumni Association’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award and a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford’s Board of Trustees.

The LCD's mission is to increase the representation of lawyers of color in the state of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts and to enhance the recruitment, retention and promotion of future lawyers from diverse backgrounds by creating environments that are authentically inclusive.

 

Tanya earned her J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law, her B.S. from the University of New Haven and her Executive Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
