Matthew Isaac is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Jackson Lewis P.C., where his practice focuses on employment litigation, white-collar defense, and government enforcement. He is also a member of the Los Angeles office's Hiring Committee.

Matthew brings significant trial experience to his practice, having first-chaired 10 jury trials to verdict and one bench trial to judgment, and second-chaired two jury trials to verdict and one bench trial to judgment in both state and federal courts. He leverages his extensive litigation background as a contributing member of the firm’s Trials and Appeals practice group.

Matthew defends employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including complex class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative matters, and single-plaintiff disputes involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. His practice also includes assisting employers with corporate governance investigations, as well as drafting and arguing complex motions, including motions for summary judgment and adjudication. He represents employers and corporate officers in white-collar criminal matters.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Matthew served as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Southern District of Texas. Over his two-year tenure as a federal prosecutor, he prosecuted a wide range of criminal offenses, including money laundering, fraud, public corruption, consumer fraud, drug trafficking, assault, and felony murder. Matthew also advised federal agents on complex, large-scale national and international criminal investigations. His legal career began as a state prosecutor, where he advocated on behalf of victims of violent crime.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Matthew served as a certified mediator, volunteering his time to help litigants resolve disputes outside of the courtroom.
