The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has a new National Emphasis Program (NEP) that focuses on reducing employees’ injuries and illnesses in warehouses, storage and distribution yard operations. Inspections under this NEP will be comprehensive safety inspections and will focus on workplace hazards common to those industries, including powered industrial vehicle operations, material handling and storage, walking-working surfaces, means of egress and fire protection. Heat and ergonomic hazards must be considered during all inspections covered by this NEP, and a health inspection shall be conducted if OSHA learns that heat and/or ergonomic hazards are present.
What does this new program mean for warehouse employers? Join Jackson Lewis P.C. attorneys as we provide an overview of OSHA’s new NEP and provide practical steps employers can take to prevent workers from being exposed to life-threatening hazards.

Topics
•    The current enforcement initiative
•    Potential timing and elements of the program
•    Practical tips to avoid citations or additional follow-up activity by OSHA

This program is intended for bona fide members of management. Jackson Lewis reserves the right to limit attendance or deny registration at its discretion.
