Nita Parikh Selected to Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys List
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 26, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Principal Nita Parikh has been featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys list. This award honors minority attorneys considered to be particularly impactful on the legal scene while serving as trusted advisors in the Los Angeles region.
“Nita is a skilled attorney who has worked with various employers across the Los Angeles business community,” said Nicky Jatana, Los Angeles office managing principal. “Her work in the legal profession and her devotion to public service further qualifies her as a leader of influence. Nita focuses her practice on advising management on various issues ranging from wage and hour laws, harassment and discrimination issues and leaves of absence under Family Medical Leave Act and state laws. She also conducts training seminars on employment related issues, including sexual harassment prevention training.
Nita practices and appears before such tribunals as the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the California Department of Industrial Relations - Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. In addition, Nita has spent a number of years litigating employment law cases in state and federal courts as well as briefing and arguing matters before the California Courts of Appeal. She has tried cases before juries, arbitrators and administrative agencies.
Nita is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association and The Indus Entrepreneurs. She is also actively involved with the National Charity League (including Executive Board Member for the South Bay Chapter from 2018-2019), Girls Scouts of America, and the Avasant Foundation (Advisory Board Member).

Nita earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Southern California.
