MIAMI, FL (October 5, 2021) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Pedro Jaime Torres-Díaz has been elevated to office managing principal in Miami. Pedro succeeds Jenna Rinehart Rassif, who has stepped down to focus on her growing litigation practice.
“Since joining the firm 16 years ago, Pedro has been instrumental in the growth of our Miami and San Juan offices,” said Firm Managing Principal Kevin G. Lauri. “We are confident his deep ties to the South Florida area in addition to his enthusiasm and professionalism will benefit our Miami attorneys and clients alike.”
Pedro is resident in Jackson Lewis’ Miami and San Juan offices, where he focuses his practice on employment discrimination and wage and hour counseling and litigation exclusively on behalf of employers. He has extensive trial experience before both federal and local courts and administrative forums in Puerto Rico and Florida. Pedro has also successfully defended employers in all types of administrative hearings before local and federal agencies.
“I am honored and humbled to take on this new leadership role,” said Pedro. “Jenna did an incredible job managing the Miami office for five years and I look forward to building on her efforts and creating new opportunities for the office, both locally and on a national level.”
Pedro is a past president of the Hispanic National Bar Association and is a frequent and featured speaker on many subjects in the labor and employment law field, in seminars for clients and organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce. He has also written articles on legal developments in Puerto Rico, one of which was published in the American Bar Association's The International Employment Lawyer.
Pedro earned his J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico and his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
