Jackson Lewis Strengthens Employment Practice, Welcomes Rachel E. Muñoz to Boston Office
BOSTON, MA (September 7, 2017) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased announce Rachel E. Muñoz has joined the firm’s Boston office as a Principal. Ms. Muñoz joins the firm from Morgan, Brown & Joy, LLP, where she represented employers in the full spectrum of labor and employment law matters.
“Rachel has an impressive background counseling employers of all sizes and industries, making her a great addition to our Boston office,” said Jeffrey S. Brody, Boston Office Managing Principal. “I am confident Rachel will provide clients with outstanding service and innovative solutions to their legal needs.”
Ms. Muñoz provides advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of issues, including hiring, background check procedures, discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge, performance management, internal investigations, terminations, and wage and hour violations. She also drafts and revises employee handbooks and other workplace policies. In addition to defending employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Ms. Muñoz is an experienced negotiator and regularly helps clients resolve disputes through mediation or directly with opposing parties.
Ms. Muñoz also has experience in union organizing situations, collective bargaining negotiations, grievance administration and arbitration, and in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations, and state and federal courts.
Ms. Muñoz is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She earned her B.A from Grinnell College, M.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her J.D from Northeastern University School of Law.
