Escobedo has returned to the firm’s San Diego office from Ogletree Deakins, where he was a Shareholder. Mr. Escobedo adds to Jackson Lewis more than a decade of employment litigation experience.

Mr. Escobedo focuses his practice on all facets of employment litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wage and hour claims (including PAGA claims), breach of contract, defamation and other related issues. He regularly defends employers in single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits, as well as class actions alleging meal and rest period violations, off-the-clock work, failure to pay overtime wages, failure to reimburse business expenses, inaccurate wage statements, and misclassification issues. Mr. Escobedo has represented clients in California state court, federal court, arbitration, administrative hearings and mediation.
Guillermo is actively involved in the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), where he is Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Section and a member of the Human Resources Committee. He is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, State Bar of California, San Diego County Chamber of Commerce, California Restaurant Association - San Diego Chapter and San Diego County Hotel-Motel Association.
