Jackson Lewis Adds Gail Golman Holtzman in Tampa

TAMPA, FL (January 7, 2016) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that Gail Golman Holtzman has joined the firm’s Tampa office as Principal.  Ms. Holtzman, who previously led the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Kass Shuler, P.A., has more than three decades of experience representing employers in a broad range of federal and state labor and employment claims.

Ms. Holtzman, who is AV-Rated by Martindale Hubbell™ and has been recognized in Florida Super Lawyers each year since its inception, has experience defending claims including those alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation/whistleblowing, wage/hour, breach of contract and those involving restrictive covenants and business torts.  She is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Civil Mediator and actively serves as a county court contract mediator.  In addition, she has been selected by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell as a 2013, 2014, 2015 “Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment Law.”

Ms. Holtzman has served on the governing Council of the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section, since 2011 and was recently elected Section Chair-Elect.  She will become Section Chair in August 2016.  Previously, Ms. Holtzman served as Co-Chair of the Section’s Third Annual National CLE Conference and as Employer Co-Chair of the Committee on Employment Rights and Responsibilities.  In addition, she has been actively involved in the Section’s Committee on Diversity in the Legal Profession and frequently participates as a speaker in ABA programs and seminars.  She is the author of a number of labor and employment publications, including co-author of the Employment Arbitration treatise.

An elected fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, Ms. Holtzman is admitted to practice in Florida and Washington, D.C. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Illinois and her J.D. from The National Law Center, George Washington University where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the “Commercial Protection Reporting Service: State Law Affecting Business and the Consumer” newsletter.
