Gina Janeiro Named Managing Partner of Jackson Lewis' Minneapolis Office

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 01, 2013) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fasted-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Gina K. Janeiro will assume the role of Minneapolis office Managing Partner, succeeding David J. Duddleston.  Mr. Duddleston will continue his legal practice as Partner, representing employers in all aspects of employment litigation and labor law.

“David has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s presence in Minnesota.  We are grateful for all he has done to support the success of our Minneapolis office, including hiring future leaders like Gina,” said Firm Chairman Vincent A. Cino.  “Gina’s fine leadership abilities and advocacy skills have been well-tested during her tenure as Litigation Manager of the Minneapolis office, and we are confident the office will continue to thrive under her management.”

Ms. Janeiro represents clients in all aspects of workplace law, including discrimination and harassment, disability management, employment contracts, wage and hour compliance, commission claims, noncompetition litigation, drug testing law, defamation, whistleblower, and closely-held corporation and partnership disputes.  She has helped clients obtain effective resolutions of such disputes through counseling, appeals, mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings and all other aspects of litigation in Minnesota and other parts of the country.  Ms. Janeiro's practice also includes the defense of collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and similar state wage laws, as well as assisting employers with “self-audits” and representing employers in compliance investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor and similar state departments.

Ms. Janiero has been recognized in Super Lawyers and ranked in Chambers USA for 2012.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest honors, from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and her J.D., cum laude, from the American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C.  She is admitted to practice in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Virginia, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Courts for the District of Minnesota, District of Columbia, Eastern District of Michigan, and Eastern District of Virginia.
