Jackson Lewis Assists in Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts

MORRISTOWN, NJ (November 19, 2012) - In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, national workplace law firm Jackson Lewis is pleased to announce efforts it has made to help the recovery from Hurricane Sandy.  The firm has made a significant contribution to the American Red Cross to assist in the relief and recovery efforts of the communities and neighborhoods affected by the storm.

“Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Sandy,” said Patrick L. Vaccaro, Firm-wide Managing Partner.  “This storm left incredible damage, and we pledge to do everything in our power to show our support of the firm’s many employees, family members, friends and clients whose lives were altered because of it.”

In addition, the firm has assisted the efforts to help with the recovery of Union Beach, New Jersey, a Monmouth County community hit especially hard by the storm.

“The Jersey Shore, which many of the New Jersey and New York attorneys of Jackson Lewis hold dear to their heart, was hit very hard by Sandy,” said Vincent A. Cino, the firm’s National Director of Litigation and lifelong New Jersey resident.  “We want to do whatever we can to help offset costs of supplies, food, shelter and other assistance for the residents who were impacted by the storm.  Our anticipated efforts in Union Beach will hopefully help the community get Memorial School (Grades K – 8) operating in a prompt fashion. ”  Jackson Lewis is also collecting food, clothes and donations to assist pets displaced by the storm at its Morristown location.
