WHITE PLAINS, NY (December 1, 2011) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, announced it has opened its 48th office in St. Louis, MO. Jessica L. Liss, formerly a Partner with Pitzer Snodgrass, P.C., joins the firm as Resident Partner of the new office.

Ms. Liss, who has been named to the list of Rising Stars by Missouri Super Lawyers and Kansas Super Lawyers, concentrates her practice on the defense of municipalities and local government, employment law and civil rights litigation. Prior to joining Pitzer Snodgrass, she was an Assistant Public Defender in the City of St. Louis, Trial Division. She is a frequent speaker at seminars and CLE programs.
Ms. Liss is a member of The Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Lawyer's Association of St. Louis, the Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Insurance Women. She was also the President of the Women Lawyers' Association of Greater St. Louis (2009-2010) and an appointed Trustee of the Wilson School, where she was chairperson of the Tuition Assistance Committee (2002-2008). She is also appointed City Attorney for the City of Bella Villa.
She is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western District of Missouri, the District Court of Kansas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Missouri Supreme Court.
Ms. Liss is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where she earned her B.A. in Economics and English in 1995. She earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1999.
