Press Release

Jackson Lewis Attorneys Lauded by Peers

WHITE PLAINS, NY (October 17, 2011) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, announced that 62 of the firm’s attorneys were recently selected by their professional peers for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.

In addition, five Jackson Lewis attorneys have been recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers. Partners Amy L. Peck (Omaha, Immigration), Andreas N. Satterfield, Jr. (Greenville, Litigation - Labor & Employment), Debra Weiss Ford (Manchester, Employment Law - Management), René E. Thorne (New Orleans, Employment Law - Management), and Susan K. McKenna (Orlando, Litigation - Labor & Employment) all received particularly high ratings in this year’s Best Lawyers survey by earning a high level of respect from their peers for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.  Only a single lawyer per specialty in each large legal community receives this honor.

First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is one of the most respected peer review publications in the legal profession.  For the 2012 U.S. edition, more than 50 percent of the lawyers recognized by Best Lawyers cast more than 3.9 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in the same and related specialties.

Because of the rigorous and transparent methodology used by Best Lawyers, inclusion is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."
