David E. Nagle Of Jackson Lewis LLP Elected Fellow Of The College Of Labor And Employment Lawyers

RICHMOND, VA (July 6, 2011) -- Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that David E. Nagle, Managing Partner of the firm’s Richmond office,  has been elected a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the College is a professional association of leading labor and employment practitioners nationwide that serves as an intellectual and practical resource for labor and employment attorneys. Fellowship in the College is determined by its Board of Governors and awarded to outstanding professionals who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field, and demonstrated integrity, professionalism and character. Mr. Nagle will be inducted as a Fellow on Nov. 5, 2011, in Seattle, during the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section’s conference.

Mr. Nagle is frequently called upon to counsel employers with respect to a wide range of issues arising in the workplace, including allegations of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and various other statutory, contract and tort claims.  He has considerable experience in trial and appellate practice , including his successful argument before the Supreme Court on behalf of the employer in Circuit City Stores v. Adams, 532 U.S. 105 (2001).  Mr. Nagle’s practice also includes traditional labor law matters, where he assists employers with union avoidance, bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, and labor disputes.

Mr. Nagle has received additional recognition from his peers.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America as well as in Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Mr. Nagle earned his A.B. from The College of William & Mary, his J.D. from the University of Richmond, and an LL.M. in labor law from Georgetown University.
