Region office as Partner. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. Ashe was Founder and CEO of Ashe Sports & Entertainment Consulting Inc, the co-Founder and General Counsel of Strickland & Ashe Management LLC, and Vice President in the Team Sports Division at International Management Group (“IMG”). He has successfully represented some of America’s most notable corporations, professional athletes and executives related to football, basketball, golf, rugby and figure skating.
Mr. Ashe, recognized by Sports Illustrated magazine as one of the "101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports," will be a key component of the firm’s Collegiate and Professional Sports Industry Group, comprised of attorneys across Jackson Lewis with deep, practical experience in the sports world who are uniquely situated to serve the diverse needs of collegiate and professional sports entities. The group currently provides valuable counsel to college, university and professional-level clients on compliance with the growing number of NCAA and NAIA rules and regulations and the current regulatory and enforcement environment, including the myriad of state licensing and sports union certification requirements.

For over twenty years, Mr. Ashe structured and negotiated deals on behalf of small businesses, sports franchises, Fortune 500 corporations, and charitable organizations associated with the discovery, evaluation, development, and employment of talent in the sports and entertainment industries. He has represented the legal interests of scouting services, training academies, colleges and universities, teams, amateur and professional athletes, as well as digital content producers, licensees, and distributors utilizing Internet, mobile, and other digital delivery platforms.
Mr. Ashe’s career highlights include negotiating team contracts for first round draft picks in the NFL, NBA, and WNBA, negotiating one of the largest team contract extensions for a Pro Bowl quarterback and linebacker in the NFL and being the attorney/agent for professional athletes who won championships in the NFL, NBA, and WNBA.
Mr. Ashe earned his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, and received his B.A. from Hamilton College, where he previously served on the Board of Trustees.
