JACKSONVILLE, Fla., (September 1, 2010) – Jackson Lewis LLP (www.jacksonlewis.com), one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, announced that experienced trial lawyer Adrienne L. Conrad, formerly a Partner at McGuireWoods LLP, has joined the firm’s Jacksonville, Fla. office as Partner.

In addition to defending companies in litigation regarding discrimination and harassment as well as litigation under ERISA and the FLSA, Ms. Conrad represents companies in complex non-competition litigation and class action suits. Her practice also includes commercial litigation, involving breach of contract, promissory estoppel, quantum meruit, breach of fiduciary duty, negligent misrepresentation, conversion, and tortious interference claims. She regularly litigates cases under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Ms. Conrad is a frequent guest speaker at a variety of employment-related seminars and is also called on occasion to provide expert legal commentary and opinion for news media reporting on employment issues.
She has been named a “Woman of Influence” by the Jacksonville Business Journal, is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, and has served in a variety of leadership capacities within the Jacksonville business and civic community, such as serving on the board of trustees of Jacksonville University and the board of directors of the Jacksonville Community Council. For the past two years she has been recognized as a “Rising Star,” by Florida Super Lawyers, a distinction bestowed on only 2.5 percent of Florida lawyers. She is current Vice Chair of the Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross, a former Vice Chair of the Jacksonville Planning Commission, and a former board member of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.
Ms. Conrad is a member of the Florida Bar, Federal Bar Association, Jacksonville Bar Association and the D.W. Perkins Bar. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the 6th, 5th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and all of the U.S. District Courts in Florida as well as the Florida Supreme Court.
She is a graduate of Cornell University Law School and received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from UCLA.
