Jackson Lewis Morristown Names New Managing Partner and Litigation Manager

MORRISTOWN, NJ (September 29, 2008) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, announced today that, coinciding with the Morristown office’s 20th anniversary, Richard J. Cino has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Morristown office and John M. Nolan has been named Litigation Manager of the office.

“Rich and John are the natural choices to step-up to these leadership positions,” says Patrick Vaccaro, firm-wide Managing Partner of Jackson Lewis. “Both have continually demonstrated great skill and talent throughout their careers at the firm. Richard and Vincent led the Morristown office to among the top rung of Jackson Lewis’s 39 offices and will continue to play a very significant role going forward,” added Vaccaro. “Richard and John are very fortunate to be able to draw from their significant expertise.”

Richard Cino will be taking over from Richard S. Schey, who led the office from its inception in 1988 and who now returns to the Management Committee of the firm. Mr. Schey will also serve as Regional Coordinator for the firm’s Southwest Region offices. Under Mr. Schey’s leadership, the Morristown office grew from five attorneys to its present size of 32 and is one of the largest workplace law boutiques in the state. John Nolan will be taking over the reins of litigation manager from Vincent A. Cino, who also sits on the firm’s Management Committee, and who will continue to serve as the firm’s National Director of Litigation, as well as serve as the Regional Coordinator for the firm’s offices within the New York area region. Richard Cino joined Jackson Lewis in 2000. Mr. Cino is a litigator and coordinates the Morristown office’s Trade Secret and Non-Compete Practice Group. He represents numerous New Jersey employers on all aspects of employment litigation including defending claims of whistleblowers under various state and federal laws including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of employment contract, and employment-related torts. He has litigated matters in the Superior Court of New Jersey, New Jersey Office of Administrative Law, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, United States Department of Labor, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Cino received his J.D. from Seton Hall University and his B.A. from Villanova University. John Nolan graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1982 and joined the firm in 1994. He has tried a substantial number of jury and non-jury trials in his career. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. Nolan gained extensive trial experience working as an Assistant District Attorney in New York. Mr. Nolan is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
