WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (May 1, 2008) – Angel Feng, an Associate in the White Plains office of Jackson Lewis LLP and President of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA), received a Law Day Award this morning at the Connecticut Supreme Court along with seven other members of Connecticut's minority bar associations.
Ms. Feng and her colleagues were honored on the fiftieth anniversary of Law Day due to their "tireless efforts to reach our mutual goal of increasing diversity within the Judicial Branch, focusing on holding career fairs to interest minority law students in pursuing job opportunities within the court system," said Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers in a press release regarding the award ceremony.
"We are extremely proud of Angel's participation in CAPABA," said C. Craig Woo, Chair of the Asian Pacific American Affinity Group at Jackson Lewis. "Jackson Lewis encourages all of our attorneys to support and participate in local bar associations such as this one to nurture their professional as well as personal development."
