Ohio Employment Law Expert Brings Talents to Jackson Lewis

CLEVELAND, (April 23, 2008) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country's largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, has hired Vincent J. Tersigni as a partner in its Cleveland office. He came from the Akron office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP where he was a member of the labor and employment group.

Tersigni is recognized as an outstanding employment law attorney throughout Ohio, and is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in labor and employment law. During his 20 years of practice, Tersigni has concentrated on representing employers in both the public and private sectors in workplace law issues, including significant employment litigation, traditional labor, OSHA, wage-hour, and non-competition matters.

Among his many career accomplishments are the following highlights:

Established new precedent in Ohio by obtaining a reversal of a labor arbitration decision on public policy grounds on behalf of a public employer; Successfully defended employers in significant OSHA matters involving severe injuries and fatalities; Obtained defense judgments in class actions involving millions of dollars in potential liability; Litigated a number of significant employment law cases in state and federal courts and agencies, including the Supreme Court of Ohio and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Tersigni is a frequent author and lecturer on labor and employment law issues, and he serves on the Board of Governors of the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a graduate of Leadership Akron, and is a member of the board of trustees or the Greater East Ohio Area Alzheimer's Association and Urban Vision,Inc. He has been named a "Leading Lawyer" by Inside Business since 2002 and an "Ohio Super Lawyer" since 2004.
