Jackson Lewis National Practice Attracts Haynsworth Baldwin Attorneys

Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the nation's largest labor and employment law firms, has announced that three members of the Greenville office of Haynsworth Baldwin Johnson & Greaves are joining the firm.

Earlier this month, the Haynsworth Baldwin firm disclosed its plans to merge with Ogletree Deakins. But David R. Wylie, Chris Lauderdale and Ellison F. McCoy will instead join Jackson Lewis and continue their national practice in the firm's Greenville, South Carolina office.

According to David Wylie, "We opted to join Jackson Lewis because they provide a comprehensive range of excellent services to their clients and they offer a broader national platform for our practice. We are excited about the opportunity to expand our practice and provide our clients with an extensive network of 21 offices in virtually every metropolitan area in the country."

David Wylie is one of the foremost OSHA lawyers in the country. At Jackson Lewis he will join partners Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former Chairman of the OSHA Safety Review Commission, and Roger S. Kaplan to form one of the leading OSHA practices in the country.

Mr. Wylie received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1977 and has spent the past 27 years advising clients on a broad range of workplace legal issues. He is labor counsel to the Board of Directors of both the National Chicken Council and the National Turkey Federation. He also serves as legal counsel to the Poultry Industry Safety and Health Committee.

Chris Lauderdale received his J.D. cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1991. He concentrates his practice in the areas of employment litigation, complex litigation, appellate advocacy, labor law, unfair labor practices, union elections and labor arbitrations.

Ellison McCoy received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1994. His areas of practice include employment law and litigation with special emphasis on the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Mr. Wylie is certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Specialist in Employment and Labor Law.
