HARTFORD, CT (November 6, 2023) - Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Tanya A. Bovée was named a recipient of the inaugural Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award presented by Quinnipiac University School of Law (QUSL) Alumni Association. The award recognizes an alumnus whose exemplary leadership and commitment have made a positive impact in advancing DEI in the legal profession. Tanya was presented with the Award at QUSL’s Fall 2023 Law Alumni Reception on November 3, 2023.

Tanya is a principal in Jackson Lewis’ Hartford office and a member of the firm's board of directors where she serves as DEI liaison. She has almost 20 years of experience representing management in a wide range of issues related to employment law. Tanya partners with companies around the U.S. to develop DEI strategies, conducts customized DEI and bias workplace education sessions, and has presented hundreds of in-house training sessions for executives, management, and employees regarding equal employment opportunity, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
Tanya’s practice also includes working with employers to comply with their affirmative action obligations, overseeing the preparation of affirmative action plans, and defending compliance reviews. Additionally, Tanya has an active litigation practice, defending employers in federal and state courts and administrative agencies.

Tanya has been a board member of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association for almost 20 years and is a past president. She sits on the board of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity and regularly speaks about advancing DEI in the legal profession.
In addition to earning her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Tanya holds a DEI Executive Certificate from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations and earned her B.S. from the University of New Haven.
